To be transparent, I have been getting very busy with my school. At this point, we are at midterms in my semester, and I have some projects that have been consuming me. That’s just the reality of being in college and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I enjoy conducting interviews, reading about women’s studies and doing map quizzes. But it’s not always good to consume myself with school. I would lose sight of who I am and what my goals are. To keep myself aligned, I journal.
For this week’s post, I thought it would be fun to share some journaling prompts to challenge you to pick up a pen and paper and take 5-10 minutes to do some reflection. Reflection helps you understand yourself better and that will make it easier to flow through your day with confidence. You will notice a difference in yourself; you just have to make the first move.
Prompts for fall:
- What is your comfort show? Why?
- What are the lessons you’ve learned so far this year?
- What details come to mind when you think of the fall season?
- What are you most thankful for this season?
- How does fall inspire you creatively
Self reflection:
- When do you feel most like yourself?
- What do you look forward to everyday?
- Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
- What is something you love about yourself?
- How can you be more present?
I hope everyone is having a great fall now that we finally have the weather for it in the Midwest! Make sure you take care of yourself especially before this holiday season. It will come before you know it. Always remember, you’re in the right place at the right time.

(Okay now this is the time when you shut off your phone or computer to journal)
